Data entry is the tax every business pays on paperwork. AI is genuinely good at reading a bill — and genuinely capable of reading one wrong. So Finkitaabh draws the line deliberately: extraction produces a draft you review, and nothing posts to the ledger without a person confirming it.
Three things can be scanned. Purchase bills and receipts become draft purchases with line items ready to check. Bank statements, including multi-page PDFs, become a reviewable transaction list before import. Reimbursement receipts become extracted line items against a staff claim, with the original file stored and linked for audit.
The commercial side is deliberately transparent. AI scanning is an entitlement-gated add-on with per-scan token capture and a usage ledger you can see, billed on cost plus markup — so it is metered rather than bundled into a price everyone pays whether they scan or not. The underlying provider is pluggable between Anthropic Claude and free-tier NVIDIA NIM vision models.

Frequently asked questions
Will AI post entries into my books automatically?
No. Every scan produces a draft for review — a draft purchase, a draft transaction list or extracted claim lines. A person confirms before anything posts. This is a deliberate design decision, not a limitation.
What does it cost?
It is a metered add-on. Each scan captures its token usage, which is billed on a cost-plus-markup basis, and the usage ledger is visible to you. Core accounting, GST filing, invoicing and reconciliation are included in your plan regardless.
Which AI provider is used?
The provider is pluggable — Anthropic Claude or free-tier NVIDIA NIM vision models — selected by configuration. Documents you scan are sent to the configured provider for extraction, so raise any data-handling requirements on the demo call.
What if the extraction is wrong?
You correct it in the draft before posting. That is precisely why the draft step exists — the review is the safeguard, and the ledger only ever receives entries a person approved.
